Please study the following;the vocabulary words on pages 52 and 53; know how natural resources are used and ways to show conservation pages76-79 and 82-85; identify cause and effect pages 54 and 55; students must be able to read a bar graph pages80 and 81; finally students must read a map pages 60 and 61. We will be having an English test on Tues. and Wed. of next week. Please study the following picking out nouns in sentences pages 60-63; finding special nouns that need capital letters pages 64 -67; choose the correct plural nounpages 68-70 ; writing titles and dates correctly page71;identify compound words pages 72 and 73; using nouns in sentences pages 74 and 75. Happy Monday! English- we will finish our chapter on nouns and take a test next Tues. and Wed. Phonics- continue chapter on long vowels. Reading- our two stories this week will be Eye Spy and Seeing. Math-we will be working on missing addends; adding three numbers; using addition and subtraction rules. Social Studies- continue chapter on our Earth focusing on landforms and where people live. Religion-compose prayers of praise and thanks. Have a good week.

Happy Tuesday. English- we will continue our chapter on nouns. We will have a test on nouns Oct.27th details will be coming. Phonics – we are working on long vowels. Spelling- our test this week will be on Thursday, we will also be taking our end of the unit theme test this week. Math-we will cover fact families and using addition to check subtraction. Social Studies-we will start a chapter on how to care for our Earth. Religion-practice making good choices.

Social Studies test on chapter 1 will be on Tues. October 6th. Please study the following;vocabulary words on pages 4 and 5; how we need to obey rules and laws pages 8-11; students must know the state we live in and how to spell it they must know state bird and flower-cardinal and violet;they must know the correct order when solving a problem pages 14 and 15; finally please study how to read a map on page 20 and 21 and the 3 types of communities rural, urban and suburban pages 24-27. Good-Luck and study hard.

English-We will finish our papers on My favorite place to visit; we will work on giving oral directions. Phonics- finish chapter on short vowels and start chapter on long vowels. Reading- our stories this week are House Repair and The Surprise. Math- we will start chapter 3 on adding and subtracting numbers up to 18. Social Studies- continue chapter on various communities; Chapter 1 test will be on Oct.6; Religion- Explain the sacrament of baptism. Have a great week.

Hi! Look whats going on this week. English- we will be working on writing complete sentences. Great job on the tests last week. Phonics- we will finish chapter on short vowels; Reading- our stories this week will be The Green Leaf Club and Three Little Bikers. Please contiue to read each night.Math- reviewing addition and subtraction facts to 12; Social Studies- we are working on various types of communities;Religion- talking about everyday heroes. Please study the following; students must know the 4 types of sentences statement, question, command and exclamations pages4-9; students must know correct word order in sentences page 10 and 11; students must identify the subject and predicate parts of a setence pages 12 and 13; students must use capital letters and end marks pages 14 and 15; finally identify words that name places pages 16 and 17. Please study the following;vocabulary words on pages 246 and 247;students must be able to pick out 4 important American landmarks and why they are important pages 264-267;be able to pick out a calendar from ancient times pages 272-275;describe and measure calendar time pages 262 and 263;students must be able to obtain information about a topic using a diagram pages 276 and 277; finally students must draw 4 things that happened in the story An Honest Man pages 284-285.
